Cool Retreat wanted to reduce its reliance on Airbnb by encouraging guests to book directly through its own website, avoiding platform fees while improving ownership of customer enquiries. The challenge was to create a booking experience that felt effortless for guests while reflecting the property's unique positioning as a peaceful retreat rather than just another accommodation listing.

I designed and developed a custom website centred around the retreat experience, using original photography and videography to immerse visitors in the property's tranquil atmosphere. The content and visual direction focused on escaping the city to rest, recharge and reconnect, differentiating Cool Retreat from conventional hotel stays. To simplify reservations, I designed a step-by-step booking flow tailored to the property's accommodation packages, dynamically calculating estimated costs while making the process intuitive for both guests and the owners to manage.

The new website gave Cool Retreat an effective platform for capturing bookings from SEO and social campaigns while reducing dependence on third-party booking platforms. User feedback consistently highlighted the immersive presentation of the property and the clarity of the booking journey, with around 90% of direct website visitors successfully submitting a booking enquiry. The result was a seamless experience that strengthened the brand's positioning while giving the owners greater control over their reservations.
